Finding Balance As A Female CEO
July was what I call my “Business Hermit" month. My pup Subie needed her second and third rounds of procedures, so my typical travel is still on hold. Everything went well with her appointment, and each day brings her closer to bouncing back to her usual energetic self. This slow travel time has given me a fresh perspective and opportunity to reassess my routines and priorities.
On the business front, we were buzzing with activity. We’re gearing up for a big refresh of our Design Club in August. My team and I worked closely on multiple client projects that launched in July and some set to go live soon in August/September. I attended over 25 meetings including team calls, coaching, and 1:1 brand strategy chats. The hustle was real, but the excitement of what was to come kept us motivated.
Despite the busy schedule, personal wellness became a top priority.
With so much going on, it was crucial to maintain a routine that kept me energized and focused. I made it a point to hit the gym regularly, wake up early for walks and connection with nature, and even tried red light therapy.
This was a game-changer. Red light therapy involves exposing the skin to low levels of red-infrared light. It has great benefits including a big boost of energy production, reducing inflammation, improved skin health, and even enhanced muscle recovery. For someone juggling multiple responsibilities, these sessions felt like a rejuvenating retreat. ~
Throughout my journey, finding balance between business and wellness hasn’t always been easy, but it's essential to me now at this level.
Taking time for myself, even during a hectic month, helped me stay grounded and productive. It reminded me of the importance of self-care in maintaining a high level of performance. This balance is something I believe every entrepreneur can really benefit from.
These small but consistent efforts worked wonders for me this month. So, if you are like me and have put this to the side - I'm here to remind you to take that walk, try something new like red light therapy, and remember that your wellness is just as important as your business goals.
